Burton Agency, an Independent Insurance Agency, has been in business in Westwood, New Jersey for over 70 years. Being locally owned gives us a better understanding of the needs of our community. With three generations of Kanwishers, two still currently active, and our professional staff, you can be sure you will receive quality insurance Consulting and Risk Management. the Burton Agency specializes in Administration and Risk Management Consulting for Municipalities and School Board Joint Insurance Funds. We were the founders of several Governmental Insurance Funds and serve as Executive Director of five funds. |

Burton Agency was established in 1936, by lifetime Westwood resident, Richard C. Burton. In 1953 the first generation of Kanwishers, William F. Kanwisher, became a
Burton Agency partner. Robert C. Kanwisher, the second generation, joined the firm in 1968 and became President in 1975. In 1988 and 1993, the third generation of Kanwishers joined the Agency,
Gary and William. |
